Alexa Nikolas is an American actress that got her big break on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101, a role for which she is mostly known and made her a household name. The show began airing on January 9, 2005 and that ran until May 2, 2008. On the show, Jamie Lynn Spears portrayed Zoey and Alexa Nikolas played the part of Nicole Bristow, one of Zoey’s best friends.

The audience was first introduced to Alexa in the pilot episode of Zoey 101, when Zoey was shown her dorm room and met her two new roommates, Nicole and Dana, who would become Zoey’s best friends. Nicole and Dana did not get along, despite their friendship with Zoey, and in the second season, Dana left for an exchange program and Zoey and Nicole got another roommate, Lola.

During the second season, Zoey 101 broke out with its first film, Zoey 101: Spring Breakup. Alexa did appear in the movie as Nicole but this was the only Zoey movie where Nicole would make an appearance. In the third season of the show, Nicole was written out of the storyline as she left for an all-girls college. In actuality, Alexa left the show due to ongoing problems she continued to have with Jamie Lynn Spears, and the two fought constantly on the set.

Despite personal problems that she may have been having on set, Alexa Nikolas received multiple awards for her time on the show. In both 2006 and 2007, Alexa was nominated, and won, the award for Best Young Ensemble Performance for her time on Zoey 101.
